     Nancy Elizabeth  Treadway born  1824 in Barnwell Co., South Carolina, married Walter D. Eubanks. Walter was born on 13 Oct 1816 in South Carolina, the son of Samuel Eubanks and Talitha Toole. They were listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Barnwell Co., South Carolina Census records. Nancy died on 20 July 1900.  Walter married next to Elizabeth A. Whitney. He died on 27 Jan 1896 and is buried in the Old Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, New Ellenton, Aiken Co., South Carolina. Nancy and Walter’s children were:

     Elijah Treadway born 13 May 1827 in Barnwell Co., South Carolina, married twice. He married firstly to Mary C. Shannon. Mary was born 30 Oct 1836 in Alabama, the daughter of John Shannon and Anna Chambers. They were listed in the 1860 Northeast Twp., Attala Co., Mississippi Census, and the 1870 Kosciusko PO, Attala Co., Census records. Mary died on 08 Oct 1879. She is buried in the Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Attala Co., Mississippi.  Their children were:

Elijah was listed in the 1880 Northeast, Attala Co., Mississippi Census as a widower.  He married secondly to Nancy E. “Nannie” Brunt on 22 July 1880. Nannie was born 20 Oct 1848, in Georgia, the daughter of James Brunt and Nancy Caldwell.  They were listed in the 1900 Liberty Chapel, Attala Co., Mississippi Census records.    Elijah died 31 Oct 1902 and Nannie died on 26 June 1908. They  are buried in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Kosciusko, Attala Co., Mississippi.


Family of James Wilson Treadway (of James H., Elijah, Richard, Richard, Richard)

     James Wilson Treadway born 15 Mar 1832 in Barnwell Co., South Carolina, migrated to Mississippi and then to Louisiana. He married three times. He married firstly to _____ White ca 1853 probably in Mississippi. Their children that I have were:

James married second to Amanda Sellers on 14 June 1858 in Attala Co., Mississippi. Amanda was born 31 Mar 1837, the daughter of John and Lucinda Sellers (Thank you JoAnn Yellott).  They were listed in the 1860 Northeast Twp., Attala Co., Mississippi Census, and the 1870 Kosciusko PO, Attala Co., Census records.  Amanda died 07 Mar 1912 and is buried in the Provencal Cemetery, Provencal, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. Her headstone reads “Wife of J. W. Treadway”.   James and Amanda’s children were:

James died 06 Oct 1895, and is buried in the Provencal Cemetery, Provencal, Natchitoches Parish Co., Louisiana. Their children were:

     Iverson B. Treadway born 05 November 1834 in Barnwell Co., South Carolina, married twice. He married firstly to Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hardin ca 1851/52 probably in Barnwell Co., South Carolina. Lizzie was born on 14 November 1836 in Barnwell Co., South Carolina, the daughter of Russell Hardin and Elizabeth Lanier.  Iverson was a soldier in the 2nd Co. D, 6th South Carolina Volunteers Confederate States Army. They were listed in the 1860 Sleepy Hollow, Barnwell Co., South Carolina Census.  They migrated to Texas and were listed in the 1880 Precinct 3, Dallas Co., Texas Census. They later went to Arkansas. Lizzie died 07 December 1894 in Pulaski Co., Arkansas. (Thank you for the information on this family Darlene Hoover Barnes). Their children were:

They were listed in the 1900 Little River, Little River Co., Arkansas.  Iverson died on 22 August 1905, and is buried in the New Home Cemetery, Little River Co., Arkansas. Georgia married secondly to Richard Howard and died on 11 December 1961. Iverson and Georgie’s children were:

Marion was born 07 March 1843 in South Carolina, the son of John Brewer and Lucinda Hedt. They were listed in the 1870, 1900, and 1910 Gregg, Edgefield Co., South Carolina Census records.  Sarah died 21 April 1915, and Marion died 09 February 1912. They both are buried in the Graniteville Cemetery, Graniteville, Aiken Co., South Carolina. Their children were:

She was not married to him in 1860, and he was not listed in any of the following census records. Phoebe and her family were listed in the 1870 Gregg Twp., Edgefield Co., South Carolina Census records, and the 1880 Gregg, Aiken Co., South Carolina Census records with her mother Sarah. Phoebe’s children were:

Emma was born on 16 April 1850 in South Carolina, the daughter of ____ Robbins and  Martha Parkman.  They were listed in the 1870 Gregg, Edgefield Co., South Carolina Census.   William died in Graniteville, Aiken Co., South Carolina, prior to 1880. Emma was living with her widowed mother Martha Robbins in the 1880 Langley, Aiken Co., South Carolina Census, and the 1900 and 1910 Greenwood Co., South Carolina Census records.  Emma is buried in the Edgewood Cemetery, Greenwood, Greenwood Co., South Carolina.  Their children were:

     John Collingsworth Treadaway born 25 October 1812 in the Pendleton District, South Carolina, married twice. He married firstly to Rebecca Chapman. Rebecca was born in 06 November 1808 in South Carolina, the daughter of James Chapman and Rebecca Smith. He began a shoemaker’s trade and farmed, but ca 1848 he went to Georgia where he farmed and opened a wagon shop. John went to Arkansas in 1856 from Georgia, after growing up in Eastern Tennessee. They were listed in the 1840 Stewart Co., Georgia Census with 2 males -5, 1 male 20-29, 1 male 30-39, 1 female 5-9, and 1 female 20-29, the 1850 East Armuchee, Walker Co., Georgia Census, and the 1860 and 1870 Concord Twp., Greene Co., Arkansas Census records. Rebecca died on 12 November 1872 in Boone Co., Arkansas. Their children were:

They were listed in the 1850 Cherokee Co., Alabama Census and the 1860 Dist. 3, Cherokee Co., Alabama Census.  Daniel was a Private in Co. B., 55th Regiment, Alabama during the Civil War.  Daniel died on 25 July 1862.  Rosie was listed in the 1870 Subdivision 42, Etowah Co., Alabama Census, and the 1880 Haynes, Etowah Co., Alabama Census records living with her son Ellis, also listed as divorced.  Rosey was also listed in Etowah Co., Alabama and receiving her husbands Civil War pension in 1891, 1898, 1899, 1900 and 1904.  Their children were:

Sarah married second to Isaac Newton “Newton” White on 18 Jan 1850, Walker Co., Georgia. Newton was born on 11 Aug 1798 in South Carolina, the son of William White and Julia Puckett. Newton was previously married and had several children from his first marriage. Sarah and Newton were listed in the 1850, West Armuchee, Walker Co., Georgia Census, the 1860 East Armuchee, Walker Co., Georgia Census, the 1870 Subdivision 145, Walker Co., Georgia Census, and the 1880 East Armuchee, Walker Co., Georgia Census. Sarah died in 1890, and Newton died on 29 Jun 1889. They both are buried in the White Cemetery, Walker Co., Georgia. Their children were:

Nancy was born ca 1820 in Tennessee/Georgia/South Carolina?. Their family was listed in the 1860 Floyd Springs Dist., Floyd Co., Georgia Census, the 1870 Rome, Floyd Co., Georgia Census records. James died in 16 Jun 1872.  Nancy was listed in the 1880 Rome, Floyd Co., Georgia Census records.  She died in 1898. They  are buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Rome, Floyd Co., Georgia (Findagrave.com). Their children were:
