Eunice was born on 26 September 1716 in Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut to Josiah Foote and Sarah Wells. Josiah and Eunice lived on what was known as Cockle Hill, Salem, Connecticut (115). Josiah died on 16 May 1790 in Salem, New London Co., Connecticut, and Eunice died on 22 October 1801 (116). They are buried in the Lamb Cemetery, Salem, New London Co., Connecticut (117) (118). Listed as Mary) (119), married Samuel Roberts on 02 May 1736, Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut (120). Samuel was born on 08 February 1705 in Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut, the son of Samuel Roberts and Elizabeth Northam (121). Samuel died on 15 May 1781 (122). It appears that Samuel died intestate as Mercy was listed in Estate records on 22 June 1781, Harford Co., Connecticut.  Mercy died on 15 April 1782.   Children that I have:

1. Sarah Roberts b: Unknown, CT, married William Ransom. She was mentioned in her Uncle Elijah Treadway’s Will (Sister Mercy’s daughter)

Newton Family: Israel, born Feb. 17, 1725, youngest son of Deacon James, was married June 7, 1750, to Lois Treadway, daughter of James and Sarah Treadway, born Feb. 2, 1720. Israel died July 9, 1804, aged nearly 80 years. Mrs. Lois Newton died Dec. 9, 1806, aged 87 years. (133).

     Elijah Treadway, Esq., born 08 April 1722, Colchester, New London Co., CT (129), married Lois Treadway. (Note: according to a letter by Mary Daniels Whittlesey Shore in William T. Tredway’s book, she states that Lois was Elijah’s cousin) (130). Lois was born on 24 September 1857 in Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut, the daughter of Josiah Treadway and Eunice Foote.  They were listed in the 1790 Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut Census with 1 male over 16, 1 female (pg. 419, line 39) (159). Elijah died in 1792 leaving a will dated 26 May 1792, proved 02 July 1792 in Middlesex Co., Connecticut (He did not mention Lois or his children in the Will. In his Will he did mention his brothers William, David, Josiah (dec.) sons, Amos, James, and sister Mercy’s only daughter) (131). Elijah and Lois’s known children were:

Hannah was born on 16 June 1757 in Essex Co., Massachusetts, the daughter of John Stacy and Hannah Main.  Benjamin migrated to Vermont, and then to Rutland, New York. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. They were listed in the 1790 Hallifax, Windham Co., Vermont Census with 3 males under 16, 2 males over 16, 4 females (pg. 116, line 15, 1800 Charleston, Montgomery Co., New York Census with 1 male under 10, 1 male 26-44, 2 females under 10, 1 female 26-44 (pg. 102, line 4) (138), and the 1810 Rutland, Jefferson Co., New York Census with 2 males 16-25, 1 male 26-44, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 16-25 (pg. 542, line 11) (139).      Jonathan Treadway born 18 April 1755 in Lebanon, Windham Co., Connecticut (155), married Hannah Rood on 05 January 1777 in Lebanon, Windham Co., Connecticut (156). Hannah was born on 03 May 1757 in Lenox, Massachusetts, the daughter of Jeremiah Rood and Hannah Grover (157). Jonathan was a drummer boy in the American Revolution and was said to have been at Valley Forge with General George Washington. Jonathan migrated to New York where he died on 17 November 1843 in Ticonderoga, New York, and Hannah died on 10 May 1822. They are buried in the Streetroad Cemetery, Ticonderoga, Essex Co., New York (155) (157). Their children were:

Sarah was born on 19 July 1749 in Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut, the daughter of Thomas Guston and Hannah Grisswold.  David fought in many wars during his lifetime. Phebe was born on 22 May 1747 in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, the daughter of David Foster and Phebe Cornwell. James died 22 December 1789. He was a soldier during the Revolutionary War. He was a captured and held prisoner aboard the prison ship Jersey.
