Know all men by these presents that Elijah Treadway of Barnwell District, in the State aforesaid in Consideration of the Sum of Nine hundred Sixty (?) one Dollars to me paid by Reuben Weathersbe (Weathersbee) be of the County and State aforesaid, have granted bargained sold released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said Reuben Weathersbe (Weathersbee) all that tract of Land Situate in said District on the western side of the upper three Runs being one trace of one hundred acres originally granted to Richard Treadway and conveyed ____ to the said Elijah Treadway and part of the Survey ___ granted to the said Elijah Treadway, and now _____ and the whole included in one platt surveyed ____

1826 begining (beginning) on the bank of the Upper three Runs on Jas. Treadway’s line, then N. 44 W. 22. 20 to pine x o. thence N. 40 E. 2.40 to Stake x o. thence N. 45 W. 99.50 to B. Jack thence S. 30 W. 78. to Augusta Road, thence along the Road toward the bridge on said Runs 40.50 to Stake X in the Road, thence S. 28 W. 33.50 to post oak X o.m. thence S. 62 84.50 to the River on the Eastern bank of the same, thence up the Stream of the same to the beginning. Containing 971 acres agreeable o said platt. Together with all and singular the rights, member, hereditament, and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Reben Weathersbe (Weathersbee) his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself my Heirs Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Reuben Weathersbe (Weathersbee) his heirs and assigns, against myself and my heirs and against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof
