Wait was born on 16 April 1764 in Middlesex Co., Connecticut, the son of Jehiel Williams and Ann Edwards.  They were listed in the 1790 and 1800 Litchfield Co., Connecticut Census.  Wait died on 06 February 1813.  Abigail was listed in the 1820, 1830 and the 1840 Hartford Co., Connecticut Census records.  She died on 05 May 1848.  Wait is buried in the Hillside Cemetery, Sharon, Litchfield Co., Connecticut.  Their children were:

     Mary “Polly” Treadway, born 16 September 1769 in Connecticut, married Benjamin Butler on 22 June 1787, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. Benjamin was born on 24 May 1865 in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, the son of Comfort Butler and Sybil Ranney.  They were listed in the 1790 and 1810 Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut Census.  Benjamin died on 21 August 1813.  Polly was listed in the 1820 Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut Census records.  Polly died on 15 January 1843 and is buried in the Mortimer Cemetery, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut.  Their children were:

     Harvey Treadway born 08 May 1778, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, married twice. He married first to Sarah “Sallie” Cotton on 04 July 1801. Sallie was born on 01 January 1780, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, the daughter of Elihu Cotton and Rebecca Hurlburt.  Harvey was a carpenter by trade and built his own home. He was also a Sheriff and Jailer. Sallie died 04 May 1804 and is buried in the Indian Hill Cemetery, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. Their children were:
