Beverly Randolph Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. To all to whom then presents shall come Greeting. Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of four Military Warrants Numbers nine hundred fifty four, nine hundred fifty five, eleven hundred ninety six and eleven hundred ninety five issued under the King of Great Britain Proclamation of one thousand seven hundred and sixty three, There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto John Treadaway and John Waters a certain tract or parcel of Land containing one Hundred and sixty one acres by survey bearing date the twenty fourth day of January one thousand seven hundred and eighty six, lying and being in the County of Fayette on the waters of Hickman Creek and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at an ash sugar tree and double lyme standing on the line of William Kennedys on thousand acres and thence North twenty degrees East with Saunders line ninety four poles to an ash, hickory, and sugar tree on Emblys line, thence with his line, North sixty degrees West one hundred and forty eight poles to two white oaks on _____ line, thence with his line, North seventy degrees West one hundred poles to an ash and black oak corner of Samuel Martin, thence with his line South one hundred and twenty five poles to a white oak, black Walnut and hickory on the aforesaid Kennedys line, thence with said line South seventy degrees East two hundred poles to the Beginning With its appurtenances, To Have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land, With its Appurtenances to the said John Treadaway & John Waters and their heirs forever, In Witness whereof the said Beverly Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be Affixed at Richmond on the fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one of the Commonwealth the fifteenth.
