     In the name of God, Amen, I John Treadway, Sr of the County of Montgomery in the State of Kentucky being of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me. Hence to therefore make and publish this my last will and testament and form following that into _____ :

First: I commit my sole into the hands of almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor or Executrix and after my debts and funeral things are paid, I desire and bequeath as follows:

1st Item: I give and lend to my daughter Patsey the fifty acres of Land on which I now live during her natural life, to have and to hold the same, and all rents and profits thereof during the period of her said Patseys natural life-and at her death the same is to be sold at publick sale by my Executors hereafter named or in case of their death my administrators and the amount of the sale of the said fifty acres of land to be equally divided between my eight children who are now living and the children of my deceased son Joel and the children of my daughter Wells, each to have on tenth part of the sale in and arising from the later of said fifty acres of Land with this provision my daughter Jenny Nox is to have the use of her portion during her natural life and at her death I give the same one tenth of the said sale of said Land to my Granddaughter Rosey the daughter of my said Daughter Jenny.

2nd Item: I give and bequeath to my said daughter Patsey all my household and kitchen furniture and all my stock of Horses, Cattle and Dogs and Sheep excepting a rone mare and her colt or mule which said rone mare and her mule colt. I give and bequeath to my Granddaughter Polly the daughter of my said daughter Patsey all and every piece of property I posses, excepting the said fifty acres of Land I give to my Daughter Patsey forever, and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John Treadway and my daughter Patsey to be sole Executor and Executrix to this my last will and testament or either of them which may be alive and will act as both of them as the case may be and they or either of them are ____ and authorized to sell and convey my said fifty acres of Land to the purchaser and I do hereby revoke and annull all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 15th day of July in the year of our Lord 1825
