W. L. (William) Treadway and Wife and Charles E. Treadway Deed To J. C. (Joseph) Treadway}
This Deed made the 8 day of Oct. 1894, between W. L. Treadway & wife and Chas E. (Charles Elmer) Treadway of Pleasants County and State of W. V. of the first part and J. C. Treadway of Washington County and State of Ohio of the second part, Witnesseth, That, in consideration of the sum of Forty-five ($45.00) dollars, cash in hand paid to the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do grant unto the said J. C. Treadway with covenant of General warranty the following described Real Estate, situate, lying and being in the County of Pleasants, State of W. V. on Wright Run, a branch of French Creek on Jefferson Dist., their undivided Five-sevenths (5/7) interest of Lot #5 of the partition of the estate of Phillip Pratt dec’d. said lot being bounded as follows: Beginning at a stone, Hickory and Gum pointes corner to lot No. 4 in William Hartlines line; thence with Lot No. 4 N. 67° W 99 1/2 poles to a stone, service white oak and chestnut oak pointers in the John Cecil’s line; thence with said line; S. 23 1/2° W. 25 poles to a stone, two Black Oaks and White Oak pointers; thence S. 67° E. 100 1/2 poles to a stone, two Dogwoods and sassafras pointers in Wm Hartlines line; thence with the said line N. 23 1/2° E. 25 1/4 poles to the beginning containing (16 74/160) acres more or less 2/7 interest in the above was deeded to W. L. Treadway by Ephraim Carter and wife and P. C. Treadway by deed bearing date of Oct. 28 1892, and 1/7 interest in the above was deeded to W. L. Treadway by deed dated Jan 21, 1888, by Mary M. Carder and Porter Carder her husband, 1/7 interest being his W. L. Treadway’s interest as heir at law of Jane Treadway dec’d, and the remaining 1/7 interest being Chas E. Treadway’s as heir at law of Jane Treadway dec’d. Being in all 5/7 of the entire Lot No. 5 as before described. To have and to hold with all and singular the appurtenances thereto his heirs and assigns forever. The said W. L. Treadway and Chas E. Treadway covenant to and with the said J. C. Treadway 5/7 of lot No. 5 as above described and that they have the right to convey the said land to the grantee, and that they will warrant Generally the property hereby conveyed to him. Lucy A. Treadway Deed To J. C. (Joseph) Treadway}
This Deed made this 24th day of September 1896, between Lucy A. (Lucy Adeline) Treadway of Washington Co., Ohio, of the first part, and Joseph C. Treadway of the same place. Witnesseth. That the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Fifteen dollars in hand paid by the said Joseph C. Treadway, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold to the said Joseph C. Treadway his heirs and assigns, forever the following real estate, situated in the County of Pleasants and state of West Va and in the district of and bounded and described as follows to wit: Beginning at a stone, Hickory and Gum pointers corner to Lot No. 4 in William Hartline’s line; thence with Lot No. 4 , N 67 W 99 1/2 poles to a stone, service, white oak and chestnut oak pointers in the John Cecil line, thence with said line S. 23 1/2 West 25 poles to a stone, two Black Oaks and White Oak pointers; thence S. 67 E. 100 1/2 poles to a stone. Know all men by these presents that we Joseph C. Treadway and Amanda Treadway his wife, of Washington County and State of Ohio. In consideration of the sum of One hundred and forty dollars to us paid by John Rinard, of, Pleasants Co. W. V. the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold and by these presents to sell and convey unto the said John Rinard his heirs and assigns forever the following described Real Estate situate in the County of Pleasants and the State of W. And the said Joseph C. Treadway for himself and heirs, doth hereby covenant with the said John Rinard his heirs and assigns that his is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that the premises are free, clear and uncumbered, and that he will warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said John Rinart, his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever In testimony whereof the said Joseph C.
