This indenyure made and agreed upon this seventh day of November one Thousand Eight hundred and ten. Between William Tredway of the County of Buncombe and sate of North Carolina of the one part and May Holcome of the county and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said May Holcome the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, Bargained, and sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant, Bargain, Sell, alien, and confirm unto the said May Holcome her heirs and assigns forever all that Tract of land Situate lying and being in the County of Buncombe formerly granted by the state to Gabrel Keith Bearing date the sixth day of January one Thousand seven hundred and ninety for – containing Six Hundred acres which said Tract of land was conveyed from said Keith to John Holcome which said Holcome did divide and sell of the following tract to William Tredway and conveyed from said Treadway to May Holcome Beginning on a mountain Birch Running west seventy six poles to a Maple then North twenty D. East forty one poles, then North seventy seven poles to sowerwood, then East on hundred and Eighty seven poles to a Spanish oak thence South sixty poles to a white oak thence south sixty five Degrees West thirty eight poles to a pine thence south thirty five degrees west forty one poles to a Hickory thence south seventy five D west forty one poles to the Beginning containing one hundred and two acres and a half be the the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises and all woods, ways, waters, and water courses Hereditaments and appurtenances and all mines, minerals and all thereunto belonging to the only use and behoof of him the said May Holcome his Heirs and assigns forever free and disencumbered from all debts whatsoever Furthetmore I the said William Treadway as well as against myself my heirs and against all Manner of person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents as witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date first above written signed sealed and Delivered in the presence of us:
