This indenture made this twenty eighth day of February one thousand eight hundred and six, between William Tredway of Buncombe County and State of North Carolina of the one part and John Holcome, Jnr of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said William Treadway for and in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof the said William Treadway doth hereby acknowledge that he the said William Treadway hath bargained, sold, aliened and conjoined unto John Holcombe Jnr his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land containing ninety acres more or less, Beginning on a swamp Beach on the east side of Garbriels Creek and running North one hundred and fifty six poles to a white Oak, , the south sixty five Degrees west thirty eight poles, then South thirty five Degrees west thirty four poles to hickory, the south seventy five Degrees west Forty eight poles to a mountain Birch on the east side of said Creek then south East down the meanders of said creek to the beginning, with all and singular the appurtenances whatsoever to the said land above mentioned belonging or in any ice appertaining also the remainder and premises and and every part thereof all the estate and right title and interest claim and demand whatsoever to him the said John Holcome, Jnr of in and to the said lands and premises and every part thereof. To have and to hold said lands and tenements and singular the Premises above mentioned and every part thereof with the appurtenance unto the said John Holcome, Jnr, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said John Holcome Jnr his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Tredway for him his heirs and the said lands and tenements and premises and every part thereof against him, his heirs and assigns and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever to said John Holcome, Jnr, his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us
