Know all men by these presents that I Christopher Vickery of the County of Pendleton and State of South Carolina of the one part and William Treadway of the County of Buncombe and State of North Carolina of the second part witnesseth for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid by William Treadway of the County and State aforesaid at and Before the Sealing and Signing of these presents the receipt and payment I do hereby acknowledge my self and my heirs do hereby bargain sell alien Enleoff and Confirm unto him the said William Treadway his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract of land in Buncombe County and State of N Carolina. Beginning same distance close said Ritihags? Improvement on two white oaks in a hole on said Vickery’s line and turns up both sides of the branch for compliment turns North 100 twenty seven poles to a post oak thence west one Hundred and twenty Seven poles to a white oak thence south one hundred and twenty seven poles to a stake thence East one hundred and twenty seven poles to the beginning the same lying on a Branch of Ivy which said tract of land with all ways, waters, and every other appurtenance thereunto Belonging or appertaining I have hereby forever myself, my heirs, and assigns sold for ever and covyd to William Treadway his heirs and assigns Forever and I do hereby for my self my heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend the said tract of Land with all its appertaining free from all lawful claims of any other person or persons whatsoever unto the said Wm Treadway his heirs or assigns in witness Whereoff I have hereunto set my hand Seal at Ivy this twenty sixth day of Janry one thousand Eight hundred and one Signed Sealed and delivered in presents of us.
