To all To Whom There presents Shall come greeting Know ye that we for & inconsideration, of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby appointed paid into our Treasury by William Treadway have given & granted by these presents do give & grant unto the said William Treadway a tract of land containing three hundred acres lying & being in our County of Sullivan on the North side the North fork of Holston Rivers Beginning at a Sugar tree on the bank thence North 48 East 65 poles to a beach North 43 East 28 poles to the Virginia line thence along the same due East 400 poles to a stake & thence South 80 poles to the Rivers & thence down, the Same as it Meandures to the Beginning as by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all Woods Waters Mines Minerals hereditaments appurtenances to the said land belonging or appertaining to hold to the said William Treadway his heirs & assigns forever yielding & paying to us such sums of Money yearly or otherwise in our general assembly from time to time to May direct provided always that the said William Treadway shall cause this grant to be registered in the Registers office of our said County of Sullivan within twelve months from the date here of otherwise the Same Shall be Void and of None effect in testimony Whereof we have Caused these our letters to be Made patent & our great Seal to be hereunto affixed witness Alexander Martin Esq our governor Captain general & Commander in Chief at Newburn this Ninth day of November in the Ninth year of our Independence in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & eighty four by his Excellency Comd
