     In the name of God, Amen. I William Maccomas of Baltimore County in the province of Maryland beeing blessed by God in perfect health and of disposeing mind and memory do for the better setting my temporat affaires constitute and appoint this my last will and testament in manner and forme followoing. That is to say chiefly and first of all humbly recomend my soul into the hands of its mercifull creator, wholely trusting in the merrits of my blessed redeemer for a joyfull repurfection at the last day and my body to the earth from whence it came there to be decently inter’d by the Executors of this my last will and testament. And as for my wordly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with all I give.

     I give and bequeath unto my son Daniel Maccomas fifty acres of land out of a tract of land called Gresham Colledge lying on the west side of a run called Winters Run in the county afforesaid, the plantation whereon the said Daniel now liveth to be comprehended in the said fifty acres, the said fifty acres of land I give and bequeath unto the said Daniel Maccomas, his heirs and assigns for ever.

     Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Solomon Maccomas fifty acres of land, out of the afforesaid tract of land called Gresham Colledge to be next adjoyning unto his brother Daniels fifty acres with half the orchard that is on the said Daniels plantation, to him the said Solomon his heirs and assigns for ever.

     Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Moses Maccomas fifty acres of land out of the afforesaid tract of land called Gresham Colledge to be adjoyning unto his brother Solomons fifty acres with half the orchard that is on the new design to him the said Moses his heirs and assigns for ever.      Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Aaron Maccomas the remainder part of the afforesaid tract of land called Gresham Colledge be it more or less together with the other half of the orchard that is on the new design to him the siad Aaron his heirs and assigns for ever.

     Item: I give and bequeath unto my two sons, William Maccomas and John Maccomas my dwelling plantation with all the land therunto belonging with the orchard thereon to be equally divided between the said William and John, the said land being part of a tract of land called Little unto them the said William Maccomas and John Maccomas their heirs and assigns for ever.

     Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Tredway one negroe girl named Phillis with her future increase to her and her heirs for ever.

     Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah Amoss one negroe girl I named Jenny with her future increase to her and her assigns for ever.

     Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Eleanor Miles one negroe girl named Marea with her future increase to her and her heirs for ever.

     And as for the remainder of my estate my will is that after my just debts are paid it be equally divided amongst my loving wife Hannah Maccomas and all my afforesaid children. And its my will notwithstanding all other afforesaid legacies, that my wife shall enjoy the benefit of all my personal estate dureing her natural life and that one of my children shall enjoy their legacies, until the decease of their mother Hannah Maccomas.      And lastly, I appoint my loving wife Hannah Maccomas and my two sons, Daniel and William Maccomas Executrix and Executors of this my last will and testament, uterly revokeing all other and former wills and testaments at any time by me before made. Radifying and confirming this only for my last will and testament for witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my Seale this twenty first day of September Anno Domino 1747.
