     In the Name of God, Amen. I Thomas Tredway of Harford County in the State of Maryland being in good health and perfect sound mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God therefore, but calling to mind the uncertain state of this life do for the better settling of my wordly estate make constitute and appoint this present writing to be my last will & testament and dispose of my temporal goods in manner and form following:

     Item: I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Tredway the one half part of my real & personal estate to him and his heirs forever, the other part to my grandchildren, that is to say Thomas, George, James, Daniel, and Chrispin Cunningham to them and their heirs forever.

     Lastly I appoint my son Daniel Tredway my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament in witness hereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 22nd day of May one thousand seven hundred and eighty two.

      Harford County Sc(?) August 13 1782 then came Daniel Tredway Junr. and James Meads Junr. and made on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they did see Thomas Tredway the testator herein named sign and seal this will and that they heard him publish, pronounce, and declare the same to be his last will and testament and that he was at the time of his doing to the best of their apprehension of sound disposing mind memory and understanding and that they subscribed their names and witnesses to this will at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other and in the presence of Abrm Hughs who subscribed his name as a witness to the within will at the same time.
