This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of April one Thousand seven hundred and sixty nine Between Thomas Tredway of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland of thence? part and James Osborn of the County Province aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Thomas Tredway for and in Consideration of the Sum of six hundred Pounds of Pennsylvania Money have in hand paid for all my Right and Title to one acre of Land Called Come by Chance where Mr. Joseph Stileses House now Stands and for fifty acres of Land Exprest in a Deed from the said Tredway to the aforesaid Joseph Stiles bearing date Equal with this present writing and also ten acres of Land Beginning at the Beginning of the Land Condemned for the Mill Belonging to Jacob Giles John Hall and Isaac Webster and Running thence South forty nine Degrees West fourteen perches South twenty four Degrees West forty one perches till it Intersects the ____ of Land that John Bull Bought of one Daniel Deaver deceased and Bounding on the said Land South sixty Degrees East and to Continue the same Course till it Intersects Jameses Run then bounding on the Natural Causes of the said Run to the Beginning Per ten acres of Land together with the Right Profits Benefits Privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining To Have and to hold the aforesaid Bargained Land and premises with appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said James Osborn his Heirs or assigns and Shall and may forever thereafter hold use occupy Possess and Enjoy the said Ten acres of Land and premises and it is further acknowledged by the aforesaid Thomas Tredway that he has received the aforesaid sum of six hundred Pounds Pennsylvania Money for himself his Heirs before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledged and for ever there from acquit and discharge the said James Osborn his Heirs Executors and administrators by these presents doth give grant Enseal and Confirm unto the said James Osborn his Heirs and assigns for ever all the above mentioned Tract or Parcel of Land Containing more or less being part of a Tract of Land called Strawberry Hills and the aforesaid Thomas Tredway doth hereby for himself his Heirs and administrators Covenant and agree to warrant and defend the aforesaid Land for in all person or persons whatsoever that shall lay any Claim Right or Title by form or under him or his Heirs and administrators and further if in this present writing should not be thought Sufficient by Council Shill dines? Law? then the aforesaid Thomas Tredway doth agree for himself his Heirs Executors or administrators to make any other Deed not altering the above intention to James Osborn his Heirs assigns by these presents in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and date above Witness…..

April the Twenty fifth seventeen hundred and sixty nine Came Thomas Tredway Before us two of his Townships Justices of the Peace and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his act and Deed and the Land and premises within Mentioned to be the Right Title and Estate of James Osborn his Heirs and assigns forever according to the here Intent and Meaning thereof and the same time Came Mary Tredway the wife of the aforesaid Thomas Tredway and being Secretly Examined out of the hearing of Her Husband did acknowledge of her own free will without the threats or fear of her Husband her right of Dower to the within Mentioned Land and premises to be the right Title and Estate of the aforesaid James Osborn his Heirs and assigns forever

This Indenture made this Twenty Third day of June in the year seventeen hundred and ninety Eight Between Daniel Tredway of Harford County son and Heir of Thomas Tredway late of Same County deceased of the one part and Herman Stump of Harford Town in in same County of the then part Whereas Thomas Tredway in his life time by his certain Indenture leaving date the Twenty fifth day of April one Thousand seven hundred and seventy nine for the Consideration therein mentioned did give grant Enfe off and Confirm unto a certain James Osborn his Heirs and assigns a Certain parcel of Land Situate in Harford County being parte of Land Called Strawberry Hills and Mentioned in the said Indenture but in truth and in fact being part of Strawberry Hills and Turkey Hills and Containing ten acres more or less as by the said Indenture herewith Recorded among the Land Records of Harford County Reference thereto being had indenture fully and at large appear and Whereas the said James Osborn afterwards in his lifetime to wit on the Seventeenth day of October one Thousand seventeen hundred and seventy seven by his Indenture of that date for the Consideration therein Mentioned did give grant Enfe off and Confirm unto a Certain James Webster his Heirs and assigns all the aforesaid parcel of Land being and lying in Harford County and Containing tenancies more or less as aforesaid and premises with the appurtenances is by the said Deed Recorded issuing the Land Records of Harford County in Liber F.S.G. No.A page 105 106 Ref__ ___ ___ (unreadable) having had will more fully and at large appear which said last in part Recited Indenture is defective for want of being duly acknowledged according to the act of assembly in such Cases lately made and provided and whereas afterwards James Osborn Son and Heir of the aforesaid James Osborn by his Indenture bearing date the Twenty seventh day of February on Thousand seven hundred and ninety six for the Consideration therein Mentioned did give grant bargain sell alien release Enfe off Confirm unto the aforesaid James Webster his Heirs and assigns all that the aforesaid parcel of Land lying and being in the County aforesaid Containing ten acres more or less aforesaid being part of the Land aforesaid as by the said Indenture now of Record among the Records of the County aforesaid in Liber I.L.G. No. M Folio 487 Reference thereto being had will more fully and at large appear and Whereas the aforesaid James Webster afterwards by his Indenture bearing date the Twenty seventh day of February one Thousand seven hundred ninety one for the Consideration therein Mentioned did give grant bargain sell alien Release Enfe off and Confirm unto the above Mentioned Herman his Heirs and assigns all that the aforesaid parcel of Land Containing ten acres as aforesaid more or less and premises with the appurtenances as by the said Indenture Record among the Land Records of Harford County in Liber I. L. G. No. M Folio 489 T.C. Reference thereto being had will more fully and at large appear and Whereas the above the Mentioned Thomas Tredway now deceased and the above mentioned James Osborn Now also deceased is defective it never being Recorded according to the act of assembly in which Cases made and provided by Reason whereof the legal Estate is Vested in the above Named Daniel Tredway the Eldest son and Heir at Law of the above named Thomas Tredway who died before the year seventeen hundred and Eighty Eight and with it Making any disposition of the aforesaid tenancies of Land by last will or otherwise After then by the Indenture above in part Recited and Whereas the Equitable Interest in and to the said ten acres is in the aforesaid Herman Stump his Heirs assigns as above appears and the said Daniel Tredway for the Consideration hereafter Mentioned is willing and desires to Convey and Confirm unto the by and Good sure and legal Deed of Release and Confirmation Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Daniel Tredway for and in Consideration of the premises and also for the further Consideration of five Shillings Current money to him in hand paid by the said Herman Stump the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath giving granted bargained and sold Released Ratified and Confirmed and by these presents Doth give grant bargain and Sell Release Ratify and Confirm unto the said Herman Stump his Heirs and assigns all that the aforesaid paid of Land lying and being in Harford County which is Contained within the following Meter bounds Courses and distances to wit Beginning at a pile of Stones where firmly Stood a bounded walnut the Beginning tree of the Land Condemned for a Mill Commonly known by the name of the ole Mill and which Stood in James Run on the North side of the ole Post Road and Running thence South forty nine degrees West fourteen perches thence South twenty four degrees West forty one perches until it Intersects the Slip of Land on lot sold to John Bull by Daniel Deaver known by the Name of Bulls Lot and bounding on said Lot South sixty degrees East and to Continue the same Course till it Intersects James Run then bounding on the Natural Courses of said Run t the Beginning Containing ten acres more or less and premises with the appurtenances and also all houses out houses Stables Coach homes Improvements advantages and emoluments to the same in any wise appertaining and also all the East Right Title Claim Interest property and demand whatsoever within Law or equity of him the said Daniel Tredway of in and to the said ten acres of Land herein and hereby Sold Ratified and Confirmed and every part thereof To Have and to hold all and Singular the aforesaid ten acres of Land herein and hereby Sold Ratified and Confirmed being parts of two Tracts of Land Called Turkey Hills and Strawberry Hills and every part thereof and premises with the appurtenances unto the Herman Stump his Heirs and assigns to his and their uses forever and the said Daniel Tredway for himself and his Heirs doth hereby Covenant grant and agree to and with the said Herman Stump his Heirs and assigns that the said Daniel Tredway and his Heirs shall and will at all times hereafter when Requested by the said Herman Stump his Heirs and assigns and at his or their charge and expense make Execute acknowledge and Suffer all and every such other acts Deeds assurances and Conveyances in the Law for the further said better assuring Conveying and Confirming unto the said Herman Stump his Heirs and assigns the aforesaid ten acres of land as by him or them only his and their Counsel Learned is the Law of all be Reason all by advise devised and Required In Witness whereof the said Daniel Tredway hath hereunto set his hand Seal this day and year first above written.
