Ashe Co., North Carolina

     In the name of God Amen. I Robert Treadway of the State of North Carolina and county of Ashe being of perfect mind and memory and having some worldly goods to dispose of at my decease do make and ordain this my last Will and testament.

     And First: I order that out of my worldly estate my executors do cause me to be decently and in a Christian like manner buried and after my just debts are paid out of my estate aforesaid I give and bequeth of the remaining part in the following manner.

     That is to say I give and bequeth to my dear beloved wife Mary the land and premises wherever we now live. Also all the land I now hold in the aforesaid county, during her natural lifetime and widowhood.

     Also the whole of my property, horses, cattle, sheep, and hogs and other property belonging to the house or plantations to her freely to be possessed and enjoyed.

     And I do hereby entirely disallow revoke and disannul all and ____ other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequests, and executions by me or in any wise before named _____ and bequeathed, satisfying and confirming this and to other to be my last will and testament.

     In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal on this 5th day of July A. D. 1820.
