     Know all men by these presents That we Joseph Treadway & Elizabeth Treadway, wife of said Joseph, of Shoreham in the County of Addison & State of Vermont, for and in consideration of the sum of then thousand dollars, current money of the United States, received in full to our satisfaction of Andrew B. Treadway of Shoreham aforesaid the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have given granted, bargained and sold, and y these presents do give grant bargain sell alien, convey and confirm unto the said Andrew B. Treadway his heirs and assigns forever, the following described pieces or parcels o land situate in Shoreham aforesaid to wit. All that tract of land on which we now live and known as our home farm, being bounded on the south by lands of Reuben Cook, Allen E. Hitchcock & Ichabod Delanos Estate, on the east by our lot know(n) as the Robinson lot, on the north by said Robinson lot and Oliver Russells land and on the west by Reuben Cooks land containing one hundred acres of land.  Also one other piece of land know(n) Robinson Lot, bounded on the south by Oliver Russell, Henry Walker and the above described piece of land, on the east by Wm. Willson Wm G. Willson and A. B. Bascom, on the north by the lands of Lewis Treadway, and on the west by lands belonging to Nazio Northrup, Oliver Russell, the above first described piece of land and by lands belonging to Ichabod Delano Estate containing one hundred and forty seven acres of land.  Also, one other piece of land known as the south lot, bounded on the north and east b Reubin Cook’s land & on the south and west by M W C Wrights land containing fifty six acres of land.  Also one other piece of land known as the Robins lot or Gates Hill, bounded on the south by (by) Calvin P. Austin, C. H. Williams, Horace Williams and M W. C Wright lands, on the east by David Cuttings & Earl R. Delanos lands, on the north by Reuben Cook’s lands, & on the west by M W. C Wrights, C K Williams and Samuel Delanos lands, containing sixty acres of land be the same more or less reserving for highways in each and all of the foregoing described pieces or parcels of land.  To have and to hold the above granted & bargained premises, with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof and thereto belonging to the said Andrew B Treadway, his heirs & assigns to his & their own proper use benefit & behoof forever.  And we the said Joeph & Elizabeth do for our heirs, executors & administrations, covenant to & with the said Andrew B. his heirs executors administrators & assigns, that at & until the consealing (sp) of these presents we are well seized of the presents we are well seized of the premises in fee simple, that we have good right and lawful authority to bargain & sell the same in manner & form as is above written, that they are free & clear of all incumbrances & that we will warrant & defend the same against all lawful claims & demands of any person or persons whomsoever.  In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this 20th day of Sep AD. 1855.
