John N. Treadway to Henry Treadway} Filed for record April 11th, 1853. Recorded April 12th, 1853, S. Emmons Recorder.
Know all Men by these presents that John Treadway and Rebecca Treadway his wife of the County of Cass and State of Illinois in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to them paid by Henry Treadway of the County of Cass and State of Illinois the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto Henry Treadway his heirs and assigns the following described real estate to wit: Lot No. Four (4) in Block No seventy five (75) in the Town of Beardstown, with all the buildings privileges and appurtenances there unto belonging and the said John and Rebecca Treadway do covenant and agree to and with the said Henry Treadway his heirs and assigns that they are well seized of the above described premises and have good right that they will forever warrant and defend the title to the said above described premises unto him the said Henry Treadway his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of any and all persons whomsoever. —–
To have and to hold the above described premises unto him the said Henry Treadway his heirs and assigns.

I Hulett Clark a Justice of the Peace within and for said County do hereby certify that on the 13th day of Feby., A.D. 1847, John Treadway and Rebecca Treadway who are personally known to me to be the identical persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing deed as having executed the the(dup) same did before me acknowledged that they executed the said Deed for the purposes therein expressed —–
And the said Rebeca Treadway having been examined separate and apart from her husband and the contents of said deed having been by me fully explained to her acknowledged that she executed said deed freely voluntarily and without any compulsion on the part of her said husband and did thereby relinquish all claim to right of dower in and to the premises described in said deed. —–
