I John H. Treadway being of sound mind and disposing memory and being desirous of making and proclaiming his last will and testament hereby gives, wills and bequeaths the land he now owns and lives on to Elisha B. Tredway, Sallie Tredway, Theophulus (Tredway), Bettie Treadway, Ollie Treadway as his only children and my present wife Alice Treadway being willing to take and receive a one sixth interest in said lands in lieu of Dower and distributable share of same
I therefore give will and bequeath unto her in fee simple that is absolutely and forever a one sixth interest in said lands and she is prohibited and restricted from selling or conveying her one sixth interest in said lands until the youngest of my said five children arrives at the age of twenty one years. And my said five children and my said wife are prohibited from diving said land until the youngest of my said five children becomes twenty one years of age. My said five children and my said wife are to live on said land so long as they desire to and receive the profits of said land each proportion to their respective interest and if they all agree but not otherwise. They can rent same and if same rented each is to receive a one sixth interest in the same, my said wife being willing to receive one mare colt two years old, known as the James Gambrel colt in lieu of all her distributable share in my personal property. I therefore will and bequeath said colt absolutely to her. I give will and bequeath all the balance of my personal property of any description unto my said five children equally, with the exception that I will and bequeath unto my daughter Sallie, my organ and a side saddle, which saddle my mother gave her.
I hereby appoint Levi Allen to be guardian of my said five children. Given under my had this 7 day of April 1893.

The foregoing instrument in writing dated the 7th day of April 1893, purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of John H. Treadway, Dec’d. late of Clay County KY was this day produced in open court, and was proven by the oaths of A. W. Baker and Sallie Allen, attesting witnesses, wherefore it is ordered the said writing be and the same is hereby allowed and established as the Last Will and Testament of said John H. Treadway.
