I John Atkinson of Baltimore County in Maryland being weak and sick but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke and annul all former wills by me made and declaring this to be my only last will and testament.
I give to my brother Michael Atkinson the sum of thirty pounds Sterling or a Negro slave of that value at his own option.
I give to Doctor Edward Wakeman and to Thomas Treadway a gold ring of a Guinea value to each of them.
I give and devise all my real estate whatsoever to my wife Anne and to _____ and assigns forever, and I likewise give to my wife all the residue of my Personal Estate after my debts _____ and funeral charges are paid and I appoint her my Executrix.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Twenty Sixth day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Three.

Baltimore County Dec 3rd 1754.
Then came James Preston and Michael Gilbert two of the subscribing witnesses to the within will being duly and solemnly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God and say that they saw the Testator John Atkinson sign the within will and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last will and testament that at the time of his doing he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory and that they subscribed their respective names as witnesses to the said will in the presence of the said Testator at his request.
Sworn before W. Young (D Com.y?) Baltimore County
Baltimore County-on the 11th day of June in the year one thousand seven hundred and fifty five Richard Ruff one of the subscribing witnesses to the within will being sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth and saith that he saw the testator John Atkinson sign and seal the within will and heard him publish pronounce and declarer the same to be his last will and testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of this deponents apprehension of a sound and disposing mind and memory and that he subscribed his name as a witness to the said will in the presence of the said Testator and at his request sworn before W. Young D. Comry Baltimore County.
