In the name of God, Amen. I, Isham Treadaway, of the County of Robertson and state of Tennessee, being of sound mind and perfect memory for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldy estate as it has pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in the manner following, that is to say
First of all I bequeath to my beloved wife Hannah Treadaway all my estate both real and personal during her natural life or widowhood except one bay horse and my gun I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Treadaway and one bay two year old colt to my son William Treadway. At the death of my wife an equal division amongst my eight children namely Benjamin, William, Polly, Thomas, John, Aaron, Elizabeth, Isham, to them and their heirs forever. Should my wife marry, the property is to be taken in hand of my executors until the children become of age.
Lastly, I constitute and appoint my two friends William Pate and William Cole executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th day of September 1817.
