The Grantors George E. Treadway, Diana Treadway, Mary E. Shafer, Franklin M. Treadway, Ellen E. Treadway, Heser Ann treadway, Sarah Jane Davis, Charles L. Treadway, Maggie L. Treadway, Lucinda F. Shafer, Alcaney Shafer and Stephen A. Treadway of the —- in the County of Cass and State of Illinois for the consideration of one dollar Convey and Quit claims to Elizabeth Treadway of the County of Cass State of Illinois the following described Real Estate:

Fifty (50) acres of land in Section ten (10) Township seventeen (17) North Range Eleven (11) West 3rd P.M. in Cass County Illinois, described as follows to wit.  Commencing at the south east corner of said section ten (10) thence on said section line two hundred and twenty (220) rods, thence west thirty six and one half (36 1/2) rods, to the place of beginning.  Also fifteen (15) acres of land in said section ten (10) described as follows to wit.  Commencing at the north west corner of the tract of land above described, thence south on the west line of said tract seventy-four (74) rods, thence East thirty two and one half (32 1/2) rods, to the place of beginning.

Meaning and intending hereby to convey to the said Elizabeth Treadway, a life Estate only, in and to said lands above described the fee simple title & said lands remaining in the above named grantors.   Situated in the County of Cass in the State of Illinois, hereby releasing and waiving all rights under and by virtue of the homestead exemption laws of this State.  Dated this 11 day of Jun A.D. 1878.

Davis Charles L Treadway Maggie L Treadway Lucinda F. Shafer Alcaney Shafer and Stephen A. Treadway who are personally known to me to be the same persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument appeared before me this day in person and acknowledged that they signed, sealed and delivered the said instrument as their free and voluntary act for the nees (sp) and purposes therein set forth including the release and waiver of the right of homestead.  Given under my hand and – seal, this 22th (sp) day o June AD. 1878
