TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING:

KNOW YE, That by Virtue of part of Certificate No 7 dated the 15th day of May 1814 affixed by the Commissioner for West Tennessee by Joshua Hadley and entered on the 4th day of September 1810 by No 8227

There is granted by the said state of Tennessee; unto Ezekiel Tredway assignee of the said Joshua Hadley A certain tract or Parcel of Land, containing Ten acres by survey bearing date the 3rd day of February 1816 lying in Franklin County in the second District on the waters of lost cheek of Elk river and bounded as follows – Beginning at a Sugar marked AT in presence of William Beasley running North twenty eight two tenth poles to a Beech & dogwood on the side of a ridge Thence West fifty six & four tenth poles to a Beech on the side of a ridge thence South twenty eight & two tenth poles to an Elm lying in the Bottom ground of a small branch thence East fifty six & four tenth poles to the Beginning.

With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Ezekiel Tredway and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, Joseph McMinn Governor of the State Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed, at Murfreesboro on the 5th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen and of the independence of the United States the forty third.
