In the Name of God Amen I WalterTredway Citizen and Glover of London Considering the Certainty of death and the Uncertainty of the time thereof do make this my last Will and Testament being God be praised of a Sound mind and memory and understanding Imprimis I committ my precious Soul into the hands of the living God in full hopes of pardon and Remission of all my Sins through the Meritts of my Blessed Saviour Jesus Christ my Body I committ to the Earth to be interred as my Executrix shall order and as to the disposal of my Worldy goods within which God of his Infinite Goodness has been pleased to Endow me I give and bequeath them accordingly to the Custome of the City of London in manner and forme following
Viz to my Dear Wife one full third part of all my Estate and Personal
Item I give and bequeath to my Children One other third part of my Estate and Personal which is at my Own disposal four hundred pounds to be paid at the Age of Twenty One Years and be divided amongst them or to my Survivors as my Executrix like best
Item I give and bequeath all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estate Real and personall goods Chatels etc to my Dear Wife to have and to hold for Ever provided She pay my honoured ffather Ten pounds every Year during his Natural Life and if it Should please God to take away all my Children before they attain the age of Twenty One Years and my Executrix do Survive them all that I have given them by this Will shall be and return to my Dear Executrix She paying to my Brother John Tredway and Sisters Elizabeth and Susanna and Sabina Tredway fifty pounds to Each that is alive
Lastly I constitute and appoint my most Dear and Valuable Wife Rhoda Tredway full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament all written with my own hand this Twenty sixth Day of December 1721
