In the name of God Amen. I Lucy Tredway of the parish of Chalfont St. Peters in the County of Bucks widow being in health of body and of perfect mind and memory praised be to almighty God for the same ye at calling to mind the uncertainty of this p[re]sent life doe make and ordaine this my p[re]sent last will and testament in mannor following
First and principally I comend my soul into the hand of Almighty God my Creator hopeing through the meritts death and passhon of my Blessed Savour and redeemer Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon for all my sins and my body I comitt ^to the Earth whence it tis to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter herein named And as for whe such Temporall Estate Goods and Chattels as it hath pleased Almighty god to bestow on mee and Bless mee with all I doe give and dispose of the same as followes
First I will that my debts and funeral Expenses and Charges bee paid and discharged
Item I doe give and bequeath unto my loving sonne Arthur Tredway the sume of Twenty Shillings of Lawfull money of England,
ITEM I give to my son Thomas Tredeway one Gold ring and one shilling of English money
ITEM I give to my sone John Tredeway one pounds of Lawfull money of England
ITEM I give to my daughter Lucy the wife of Richard Clarke my best Gold ring and one shilling of English money
ITEM I give to my daughter Susannah the wife of John Russell my second best gold Ring and one shilling of Enlgish money
ITEM I give to my sone Thomas Tredeways three sonnes (viz) Henry Thomas and William four pounds a piece to bee paid them out of the Twenty pounds my sone Thomas their father hath in his hands and is Agreed Between him and me to bee paid to such persons I shall appoint in my Life tyme (after my decease)
ITEM I give to John and Sarah the sone and daughter of my sonne John Tredway the sume of four pounds a peece of Lawfull money being the residue of the said Twenty pounds in the hands of my said sonne Thomas and I doe hereby order him to pay it to them accordingly
ITEM I give to Thomas Henry Ænion and John the sones of my said sone Arthur four pounds a peece of Lawfull money of England
ITEM I give to Sarah Elizabeth Anne & Mary the daughters of my said sonne Arthur Tenn pounds a peece of like Lawfull money of England
ITEM I give to Hanah and Susannah the daughters of Richard Clarke aforesaid five pounds a peece of like Lawfull money of England
ITEM I give unto Anne daughter of John Russell Aforesaid five pounds of like Lawfull money to bee paid her by her said Father for that hee owes mee soe much
ITEM I give to John and Henry the children of John Russell Aforesaid the sume of four pounds a peece of like Lawfull money of England All which said Legacies (Except) those to bee paid by my sonne Thomas Afors[ai]d I order to bee paid by my Executor within Twelevemounthes next after my decease
ITEM all the rest and residue of my Estate Goods & Chattles and whatsoever I have in this world unbequeathed as Aforsaid (my wairing Apparrell excepted which I order my daughter Lucy aforsaid to dispose of as shee shall think fitten) I doe give and bequeath unto my Grandsone Arthur Tredway the sone of my Afors[ai]d sone Arthur upon condition that hee shall pay any debts Legaces and funeral charges and I doe make Constitute & appoint my said Grandsone Arthur Tredeway full and soul Executor of this my last Will & Testamte and I doe intreat my very good frinds Richard Whitchurch Gent. and John Newmann of the parrish of Chalfont aforsaid yeoman to bee Overseers of Executores to see yt this my p[re]snt Last Will & Testamt bee truly & faithfully Executed & fulfilled & further Intreat my said two frinds to Assist my said Grandsone in the Execution hereof and I doe revoke disanull and make void all former and [others?] wills by mee at any tyme heretofore made
IN WITNESSE whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the twenty first day of July in the tenth year of the Reigne of o[ur] Soveraigne Lord William the third King of England etc. Anno[?] d[o]m 1698
