     In the name of God Amen This nynth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred Fiftie and two I John Tredway citizen and grocer of London sick and weake of body but of sound and perfect minde and memorie (thanks be to Allmightie God) doe make and Declare my last will and Testament In writting for and in ____ the disposing of my Estate as followeth That is to say where as myself and brother Thomas beinge formerly Copartenors (Copartners) together in the trade of Dealoinge (Dealing) in Druggs, Tobaccoes, Collours and other things usually sould and vented in my now shop and ware house in London Hall Street London did at or before the sixt day of January now last past come to a small Account together and did then in the presence and before my father Robert Tredway Esquire and Sir Robert Thorald agree that he my said Brother should assigne and release unto mee all his estate and interest in and to the house and shope that I nowe Dwell in and all ware house there within soe and thereto belonging and all goods and household stuff in and about the said house and also all his estate and interrest of in and to all the joynt stocke then and then to fore in Copartnershipp between us and of in the ___fitt and profitt thereof and all goods wares and Debts then joyntly belonging to no or into partnershipp between us And also all his estate and interrest of and in all those lands ____ and ____ it ____ called Branthill and Barnsvale lying and beinge in the parish of Hough up on the Hill, and brandon or either of them in the Countie of Lincoln(shire) or else where in the said Countie.

     And that in Consideration of such assignement and release of the promises as aforesaid I the said John Tredway should give and allow unto him my said Brother Thomas four hundred pounds which together with the like somme or value of my owne was also then agreed should be and continued in copartnershipp between us in the like ____ as aforesaid to be D___ in my said Dwellinge house and shopp for three yeares to ____ from the said sixt day of January now half past if wee should both so longe live uppon an equall Account in half between us both forgaved due lease and to be equally shared and borne between us and ____ one half part of the said joynt store benifitt and proceed thereof and alsoe one half parte of the lease and charge there of ____ to be had taken and borne to and by us the said John Tredway my Executors and assigns and the other part thereof to and by my said by my said Brother Thomas his Executors and assigns without any benifitt or advantage of survivourshipp to be had claymed taken or shall aged by either of us or any other Law matter or thing to the contrarie and in consideration whereof it was further agreed that the said Thomas my Brother should pay and allow unto us the yearley some of threescore and six pounds sterling quarterly by or on portions for his share of the Rent of the said shopp and ware house and for his and his mane loging and dyet in performance of part of which agreement my said Brother Thomas hath already Released and assigned all his estate and interrest in and to the said Dwellinge house ware house former storre in Copartnershipp goods household stuff debts and promises before agreed uppon to be released ____ I the said John Tredway doe hereby will appoynt and declare That he my said Brother releaseinge all his estate and executor hereunder named of and in the said my Dwellinge house household stuff former storre gained and proceed share of and debtes as aforesaid and from tyme to tyme giveing full power to my said Executrix (as her councell shall advise) to ____ and ____ the said debts and also truely and faithfully Dwellinge and alloweinge my Executrix the full and equally morty? of the storre now intended between us and of all the share proceeds and profitt thereof he my said Brother Thomas shalbe allowed the said some of four hundred pounds or vallue thereof beinge the morty? of the principall storre now intended joynt trade between us and the full morty? of the gained benifitt and proceed of the said joynt storre ____ ____ the sayd sixt day of January now halfe after.

     Item: I give and bequeath to my said Brother Thomas the some of one hundred pounds upon condition that he be ___st and faithfull to my Executrix whos accounts concerneinge our joynt storre and the proceeds thereof And shall be helpful to her from tyme to tyme (as farr as lawfully may or can) as well for the gettinge in of the debts due to our former joynt storre as for the messauge hereunto and enabling her to rent the mortie? of our present storre and the benifitt and proceed thereof to her owne also The rest of my goods chattells leases personal estate storre and other substance whatsoever after my debts paid and funarall discharged I wholy give and leave my loving wife Amy Tredway and I do Nominate and apoynte her the said Amy to be full and sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament.

     Item: I give and devise unto my said loving wife Amy her heirs and assigns my assigns land and Tenements called Branthill and Barnesvale and all other my lands whatsoever for and forward the payment of my debts and afterward for her owne use and benefitt forever.

     And I doe Declare that the aforesaid agreement between me and my brother uppon the dissolution of our forever Copartnershipp and aforesaid All debt then oweing by our former storre or by us in respect of the said ____ and are to be paid off and Discharged by me and my Executor (my said Brother making such assignment and release of his interrest as aforesaid).

     In witness whereof to this my last will written on three sides of paper I the said John Tredway have sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first written.
