    I John Tredway of Hosier Lane in the Parish of St Sepulchre in the City of London one of the Collectors of the Jolly at Holborn Bridge for the May and commonality of the City of London, being at this time somewhat diseased in Body but of perfect memory understanding and Disposing mind do make this my Last Will –

first – I desire that all my Due Debts and Demands with my Funeral Expenses may be paid out of such property I may Leave behind me after which I give and bequeath to Mr. Will’m Pettit of the Coachmaker Arms in Hosier Land in the parish afores.d and to Bridgett Pettit his wife all my Household Linnen wearing apparel and everything I may be posses’d of at my Departure of this Life – saving only that the said Mr. Pettit or his Wife do give unto Mrs. Jos. Raybolt of the House and Groom at Holloway a Ring of two Guineas value as a Token of Respect which I bear towards her and I further desire that the said Mr. Pettit or Mrs. Pettit will give unto Mrs Martha Tredway my mother in Law the sum of two Guineas the above mention’d Legacies to be given to them within two months after my Funeral
