     IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN. I Henry Tredway of Layters Greene in the p[ar]ish of Chalfont St. Peters within County of Buck yeoman being of sound and p[er]fect mind and memory thanks be the therefore given to allmighty God but being mindful of mans mortalyty and the uncertainty of my life doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testamt in manner following

     And first I bequeath my soule to Almighty God my maker and redeemer trusting to be saved through the meritts and passion of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour And my body I appoint to be buried in the Church Yard of Chalfont St. Peter aforesaid At the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as toucheing my worldy estate wherew[i]th God hath blessed me w[i]th I dispose as followeth 

     Inpri[mi]s I give and bequeath unto my sonne Henry Tredway one shilling 

     Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Tredway the sum[m]e of forty pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my executors hereinafter named w[i]th in two yeares after my decease 

     Item I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Susanna and Anna Tredway the sum[m]es of forty pounds apeece to be paid by my executors hereinafter ment[t]ioned w[i]thin two years after my decease 

     Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Arthur Tredway the sume of five pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid w[i]thin two yeares after my decease

     Item I give unto my daughter Luce Tredway Snapes the sum[m]e of five pounds to be paid her w[i]thin two yeares after my decease by my Ex[e]cutors hereinafter named 

     Item I doe make my deare and loveing wife Luce Tredway and my sonne Thomas Tredway joynt Ex[e]cutors of this my last will and testam[en]t And I doe give them all my goods and p[er]sonall effects whatsoev[er] my funerall expences being discharged & my debts being paid 

    IN WITNESS whereof I the said Henry Tredway unto this my last will and testam[en]t have putt my hand & seale this Tenth day of June in the too[illegible] and thirtyith yeare of the [Reigne?] of o[ur] sovereigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King defendor of the faith etc. Annoy D[o]m 1681
