Know ye that we have granted unto Christopher Treadaway forty acres of land in Ashe County on the white oak Branch waters of the South for the New River Beginning on a birch and maple John Taylor’s corner running North thirteen West ninety four poles to a stake in Patsey Gambill’s line, thence with said West thirty eight poles to a spanish oak Edward Weaver’s line, thence South fourteen West one hundred poles to a stake in John Taylor’s line, thence to the first Stationed Entered the 25th day of January 1849. To hold the said Christopher Treadaway his heirs and assigns forever Dated the 11th day of August 1849.
