Know ye that we have granted unto Christopher Treadway one hundred acres of land in Ashe County, on the waters of New River. Beginning on a chestnut near the head of the Kentucky Branch, running East one hundred and forty two poles to a stake in A. Steadham’s line, thence North one hundred and twenty two poles to a chestnut oak near Ballow’s line, thence West one hundred and sixteen
