I Arty M. Treadway have this day bargained and sold to Mary A Treadway wife of John Treadway Dec., for the consideration of Forty Dollars to wit a piece of land situated in the county of Washington and joining the south side of a lot sold to her husband in 1858 and running with similar (sp) bounds East and West bounds of said lot sold to John A. Treadway being produced eight rods in a southerly direction that is south 29 E. Making one acre of land more or less To have and to hold unto the said Mary A. Treadway her heirs and assigns forever I the said Arty M. Treadway do hereby covenant with the said Mary A. Treadway That I am lawfuly (sp) seized and possessed of said land have a good right to convey it and That the same is unencumbered I the said Arty M. Treadway do forther (sp) covenant land find myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the title of the above land unto the said Mary A. Treadway her heirs assigns against the claims of all persons whatever given under my hand and seal this 26th day of October 1866

Treadway the barganer (sp) to the foregoing deed of Conveyance with whom I am personally acquanted (sp) and who acknowledged that he executed the same on the day it bars (sp) date for the purposes therein Contained, Witness my hand at Office this 28th day of October 1866
