Know all men by these presents that I Sarah W. Casey f Watertown in the County of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts for the consideration of Eight hundred Dollars paid to my satisfaction by Alanson J. Treadway his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in Whiting in the County of Addison and State of Vermont for and by these presents do freely give, grant, sell, convey and confirm piece or parcel of land lying and being in Whiting in the County of Addison and State of Vermont and described as follows to wit, being Eight acres and two thirds of one acre of land off the south part of a lot of land containing twenty Eight acres, which originally belong to Mrs. Freelove Stone late wife of Daniel B. Stone, the whole Estate, East on lands of the said Joshuas Estate, South on lands of said Joshua Caseys Estate & John Baldwins Estate and Alanson Treadway & west on lands of Emerson Watts & George W. Delano, the north line to be parallel with the South and far Enough North to contain Eight and two thirds acres of Land. To have and to hold the above granted premises with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof to the said Alanson Treadway his and there own use, benefit and behoof forever and I the said Sarah W. Casey for myself my heirs, Executors and administrators do covenant with the said Alanson Treadway his heirs and assigns that we are lawfully seized in fee of the above granted premises and defend the same against all lawful claims whatever & the said Sarah W. Casey release, remise and quitclaim forever to the said Alanson Treadway all my right interest or demand in and to the balance of twenty Eight acres which is now occupied by Daniel B. Stone (Namely) the share of Abigail Little Deeded to me by said Abigail the 12th day of January 1859, recorded Book 5th (sp) on page 727 of land record in Whiting to which Deed reference is had for a description of the same. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal this Twelfth day of March A.D. 1863 In the presence of A. L. Farnsworth J. H. Blaisdell }Sarah W. Casey L.S.
