Amended Declaration

     On this 15th day of June 1833 personally appeared before me the under signed Judge David Treadway who having duly sworn Deposeth and saith that by reason of Old Age and the consequents both of memory his ___ to remember all the particulars of his services but that he turned out as a volunteer under Connecticut State Militia officers in a call for volunteers and that his term out as a volunteer that he despised being drafted in the defense of his county and that he had no _____ of the authority of his officers to _____ him to go that he was not Engaged in any civil pursuits any of time he has set forth he was in the service of his country but that he was actually in the field or garrison _____ every day he has put forth in his declaration and that he subscribed himself under the command of his officers Every day as much as (as much as -dup) if he had been Enlisted in the regular Continental Army during the war and that he cannot state the particulars of his Services more than he was in his declaration in consequence of the loss of memory
