H. H. Treadway by Tabitha Treadway To George Jerome}

     Whereas, Henry Holmes Treadway late of the City of Pontiac Oakland County Michigan, because the purchaser from the United States of the lands herein after described, and whereas said lands were, before being so purchased by said Treadway examined, selected and explored by Timothy Jerome and David H. Jerome both of Saginaw County Michigan and at the request the same and as a compensation to them for their services in examining, selecting and exploring said lands prior to their being purchased by said Treadway as aforesaid the undivided one fourth part of said lands herein after described.  And whereas said Timothy Jerome & David H. Jerome having sold, assigned, & transferred to George Jerome of the City of Detroit Wayne County Michigan all their right title & interest in & to the undivided one fourth part of said lands under & by virtue of said contract bearing date the third day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty six and all their right to demand and receive from said Henry Holmes Tredway conveyance of the undivided one fourth part of said lands – hereinafter described being the same lands so selected and explored by them the said Timothy Jerome & David H Jerome and thereafter purchased by said Treadway as aforesaid.  And Whereas, said Henry Holmes Treadway departed this life on the nineteenth day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty two without having conveyed to said Timothy Jerome & David H. Jerome or either of them or to their or either of their assigns the undivided one fourth part of said lands hereinafter described so contracted and agreed to be conveyed to them by him said Henry Holmes Treadway upon the third day of March in the year one thousand Eight-hundred & fifty six as aforesaid and whereas, I , Tabitha Treadway of the City of Pontiac, Oakland County Michigan was upon the Estate of said Henry Holmes Treadway by the Probate Court for the County of Oakland in said State of Michigan and whereas the said the Court held upon the twelfth day of June last post at the Probate Office in the City of Pontiac upon the hearing of the petition of said George Jerome praying that the Administratrix might be decreed by said Court to make execute and deliver to said George Jerome a good and sufficient deed of conveyance in law of the undivided one fourth of the said lands as contracted to be conveyed by and

Henry Homes Treadway aforesaid did order, adjudicate and decree that Tabitha Treadway Administratrix upon the Estate of Henry Homes Treadway deceased be authorized empowered and directed to make, execute, acknowledge and deliver to George Jerome his heirs, executors administrators or assigns a good & sufficient conveyance in law in simple of the undivided one fourth part of the lands so examined selected and explored by said Timothy Jerome and David H. Jerome and purchased by said Henry Holmes Treadway as aforesaid together with the undivided one fourth part of all the right title & interest which the said Henry Holmes Treadway had in and to the same & the appurtenances thereunto belonging.  Now Therefore, This Indenture, Made this second day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixty three Between Tabitha Treadway of Pontiac, Michigan, administratrix upon the Estate of Henry Holmes Treadway deceased party of the first part and George Jerome of Detroit Michigan of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the power in me vested by the decree of the Probate Court in and for said County of Oakland made upon the twelfth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty three as herein before mentioned & in obedience to said decree do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, revise, release, alien & confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns Forever the undivided one fourth part of the lands so contracted to be conveyed by the said Henry Holmes Treadway as aforesaid and which said lands are known and described as follows viz.- The South East quarter of the South East quarter of section twenty four (24) The East half of the North East quarter of section twenty five (25) the South half of the South East quarter and the South half of the South West quarter of section twenty five (25) the North half of the North East quarter of section thirty six (36) in township sixteen North of Range one (1) East.  Also the North half of the South East quarter of section nineteen (19) the North West quarter of the North West quarter of section twenty (20) the West half of the South West fractional quarter section thirty (30) the South East quarter of the South West quarter of fractional section thirty (30) the North West fractional quarter of fractional section thirty one (31) the East half of the South West quarter of fractional section thirty one (31) the North East quarter of the North West quarter of section twenty nine (29) the South West quarter of the South East of section thirty (30) the North West quarter of the North East quarter of section thirty one (31) the South half of the South East quarter of section thirty two (32) the South East quarter of the South West quarter of section thirty two, the North half of the South East quarter of section thirty two (32) the North East quarter of the South West quar- (ter)
