To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

KNOW YE, That, for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve and a half cents per acre, paid into the office of the Entry-Taker of Rutherford County, and entered on the 17th day of August 1824 pursuant to the provisions of an act of the General Assembly of said state, passed on the twenty-second day of November, on thousand eight hundred and twenty-three by No . 439 there is granted by the said State of Tennessee, unto Henry H. Treadway a certain Tract or Parcel of LAND, containing thirty five acres by survey bearing date the 14th day of November 1825 lying in the said county, On the waters of Bradley’s fork of the east fork of Stoney River and bounded as follows – Beginning at a buck Twenty poles West of an ash, The South east corner of Elisha Bills 50 acre tract, thence South Two hundred and eighty poles to a black oak, Thence East Twenty poles to a stake on Knox’s line. Thence North west said line, Two hundred and eighty poles to an ash, Elisha Bills Corner, Thence West Twenty poles to the Beginning. With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of LAND, with its appurtenances, to the said Henry H. Treadway and his heirs forever.

In witness whereof, William Carroll Governor of the State Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed, at Nashville, on the 23rd day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty and of the independence of the United States the fifty-fourth.
