In the Name of God Amen: this Twenty ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred forty nine. I Mary Deaver of Baltimore County widdow being weak of Body tho of sound and disposing mind and Memory, calling to mind the Immortality of Man and that it is Appointed for him once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following,
First: Recommending my Soul to my Creator who gave it to me and my Body to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as for such worldly Goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I will they be disposed of as hereafter mentioned, viz: Imprimiss
I give and bequeath unto my loving Kinswoman Mary Hollandsworth a Gown and Petty Coat of Blew Country Cloth a heifer and a Calf .
I give and bequeath unto Alexander Nichcloe my apprentice; a Mair called Tommy’s Mair, his Sister Pheebee to have the first Colt the said Mair may have.
I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Wood a Horse called Moulde Eyes.
I give and bequeath unto my Son John Dever my Ferry Boat and one Servent Man to be the one that my Executor shall see proper to pay him out of my Servent Man one Chest of draws one large Pewter Dish and one Sain Nett and no more.
I give and bequeath unto my Son Daniel Deaver a Gold Ring he already hath of mine a womans side Saddle he likewise hath, a mair, likewise in his possession. Forty Shilings in Cash he owes me one Small Bible and one Shilling Sterling and no more.
I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Mary the Daughter of my Son Richard one feather Bed and furniture one brown Table, one looking Glass four pewter Dishes, one young Mair, one side Saddle and a warming pan.
I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard Deaver all the Remaining part of my Estate both Real and personal that I am at this time Possessed of or that my ever hereafter be reputed or known as Part or Percell of my Estate whom I appoint my Executor of this my last Will and Testaemtn hereby Revoking and making void all other wills heretofore by me made or acknowledged Acknowledging this only as my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have herunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year aforesaid
Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Subscribing Mary Deaver as her last will and Testament and at whose Request as Evidences thereof wee heave hereto Sett our hands

Baltimore County Nov. 4th 1749 Amos Garrett, Mary Cunningham and Elizabeth Treadway three of the Subscribing wittnessess to the foregoing Will being duly and Solomnly Sworne on the holy Evanglist of almighty God depose and say that they Saw the Testator Mary Deaver Sign the foregoing Will and heard her publish and declare the same to be her blast Will and Testament sound and disposing mind and memory and that each each of them Subscribed their names in the presents of the Testator and at her Request. Sworne before William Young Deputy Commissary Baltimore County.
