     In the name of God Amen the sixteenth day of September Ano Dom 1669 I Richard Tredway of the p[ar]ish of Chalfont St Peter in the County of Bucks yeoman being but weake in body [sic] but of good & p[er]fect memory thanks be given unto Allmightie god doe ordaine & make this my last will & testamt in manner & forme following First& principally I comend my soule in to the hands of Allmightie god my creator redeemer & sancti(er and my body I commit to the earth in sure & certaine hope of eternall life on the last day And for my woorly [sic] estate I dispose as followeth

     Imprimise I bequeath & give unto Al[i]ce Tredway my daughter whom I doe make my sole Executor of this my last will & testamt All that my messuage or tenemt wherein wth the app[er]tences[?] wherein I the said Richard Tredway now dwelleth situate & being in the p[ar]ish of Chalfont St Peters in the Countie of Bucks and allso all housesedi(ces buildings barnes stables yards or shardy[?] gardens & backside whatsoevertothe said messuage or tenemt belonging or in any wise appleyinge And also all the Closes of land & hereditamts whatsoever of him the said Richard Tredway to the said messuage ortenemt belonging used or in any wise apperteyninge to have & to hold the land messuage or tenement & all the closes of land arable & pasture &meadow ground and only part and p[ar]cell thereof unto the said Alice Tredway my daughter her heires & assignes for ever

     Item I doe bequeath & give unto all the children of my son Richard Tredway that now ^he hath All that my other messuage or tenement in the p[ar]ish of Chalfont St. Peters in the said countie of Bucks now in the tenure or occupat[i]onof Robert Butter.eld or his assignes and one other Close of land lyeing on the right hand of the way leading to Jarratts Crose from the messuage that the said Robert Butter(eld dwelleth in now in the occupation of the said Richard Tredway and conteyning altogether by estimation fower acers be it more or lesse

     Item I doe give unto my son Richard Tredway the some of ten shillings and unto Philice his wife twentie shillings

     Item I doe give unto my son Henry Tredway the some of ten shillings and unto Margarett his wife the some of twentie shillings

     Item I doe give unto my son in law Thomas Parratt the some of ten shillings and unto Elizabeth his wife twentie shillings

     Item I doe give unto Thomas Parratt son of Thomas Parratt my son in law the some of ten pounds of lawful money of England

     Item I doe give unto John Tredway of Fullmer Twentie shillings

     Item I do give unto Edward Craft of Chalfont St Peters my servant the shillings of good money all with aforementioned legacies my mind & will is that they should be paid wthin the space of twelve moneth next after my decease by my Exector my mind & will further is in case I doe not live to Redeeme the land to my son Richards Children then my mind & will is that my Executorshall redeeme it for the children for my will is that the children shall have itt free to& to their heires for ever And I doe intreat my son Henry Tredway and my son in law Thomas Parratt to be ov[er]seers of this my last will & testamt & to be an assistant to my daughter Alice what in them lyeth And Revoking adunling[?] & making void all & ev[er]y former wills & testamts by me at any time made and I doe declare & publish this to be my last will & testament both in deed & law In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the day & yeare first above written
