In the name of God Amen I Mary Tredway of London Spinster being somewhat infirme as to my Godily health but thanks be to God of sound Mind Memory and Understanding do make my Last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say first I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator and my body I my desire may be buried in a decent manner at the Discretion of my Executor herein after name and as to such Wordly Substance as I am possessed of or shall be Intitled unto at my Decease I give and dispose of as followeth, that is to say:
I give and bequeath unto my honored Mother the summe of one hundred pounds.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Brother George Treadway the like summe of one hundred pounds.
To my Godchild George Nash I give the summe of Three hundred pounds But in case he shall dye before he shall attain the age of Eighteen years Then I give the Three hundred pounds to his Sister Elizabeth Nash and in case both of them shall dye Then I give the summe unto and amongst their sisters in such manner and proportions as their parents or the Survivor of them shall think most proper and convenient to Divide or Dispose of the same and my Intent and Desire is that Interest be made of the said Three hundred pounds for the benefit of my God Son or his Sisters who shall have and be Intitled thereunto her all my wearing apparell.
To my Brother John Hillersdon the summe of Twenty pounds.
To my Sister Anne Hillersdon the like summe of Twenty pounds for Mourning.
And unto my Brother Richard Nash the like sume of.
And unto my Sister Elizabeth Nash Twenty pounds for Mourning and I also give unto her all my wearing apparell.
And unto my Neece Anne Nash my Gold Watch and Equipage and all my Rings Cabinet and Glass.
Item: I give unto the Minister and Curate of St. Swithin by London Stone London and to the Minister of Garhum (Graham?) in Berkshire and to every one of them five pounds a piece and a Ring.
And unto my faithful servant Elizabeth Nash I give the summe of Twenty pounds and such cloths (clothes) as my Sister Nash shall see fit to give her.
Item: And I give to my Executor herein after named Thirty pounds to be by him Disposed off for the use and benefit of the Servants in Bush land and Megham or of their or and of their Children or of such of them and in such manner as he shall think convenient and to be absolutely at his Discretion.
Item: I give to my Aunt Martha Broxoline and to her son Noel Bropholine the sume of Ten pounds a peece for Mourning and to each of them a Ring.
Item: I give and Desire and Direct that my Executor shall lay out and Dispose of the further sume of three hundred pounds to and for such charitable uses as he shall think most proper and convenient and to be altogether at his own free Will and Disposall only I would have him to Dispose of some part thereof to such of our Relations as may have occasion for the same.
Item: I give unto all my Brothers and Sisters and to my Brother Nashes children and to my Cousin George Knapp and his Wife and to every of them a Ring.
Item: And after the payment of the Legacy’s herein before given and which I Desire may be payd and Discharged as soon as conveniently may be and Subject only to the payment thereof and my Debt which I may happen to owe.
I give Devise and bequeath unto my Dear Brother Timothy Tredway all the rest residue and Remainder of my money and Securities for many Goods Chattells Rights Credits Estate and Substance whatsoever or wheresoever and which at the time of my Decease I shall be any ways possessed off Interested or Intitled unto.
I do hereby make nominate and appoint my said Dear Brother Timothy Tredway full and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and revoking all former Wills I publish this to be and retaine my last Will and Testament and non other or otherwise .
In witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale this fifteenth Day of March 1720. And in the Seventh year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord King George
