     I George Tredway of Wodbourne (Wooburn) in the County of Bucks Cordwainer (shoemaker) being ____ in body but otherwise in health and of Sound mind Praise God for the same do make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner following:

     My soule I commend to God hoping throu’ my Saviours merritts to ____ pardon for my Sins and be Saved and my body I commit to the Earth to be buried Decently and as to my worldly Estate Thus Dispose thereof:

     Imprimis: I give to my Son George Tredway and his Heirs and assigns forever if he or any lawfull Issue of his Shall after my Decease live to the age of one and twenty years all my Messauges Cottages and Lands Tenements Hereditatments whatsoever and wheresoever that I have any right Either or Interest to give away or dispose but if he or any lawful heirs Issue of his Shall not after my Decease live to attaine the Said age of one and twenty then I give and Devise my said Messuages Cottages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments Whatsoever and Wheresoever and Whereas over unto my two Daughters Sarah Grove and Anne Tredway and to their heirs and assigns for ever as Tenants in Common and not as joint tenants but if my said Daughter Ann Tredway or any lawfull Issue shall not after my Decease live to be the age of one and twenty years then in Such case after ____ by the death of her and her lawfull Issue before She or they or one of them Shall be of the age of one and twenty years.

     I give and Devise the said M___ or part of the said Messuages Cottages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments (see as given aforesaid unto her my said Daughter Ann Tredway) unto my said Daughter Sarah Grove and to her heirs and assigns forever.

     Item: not withstanding the Desires as above yet I will and direct that my loving Wife Alice shall for her naturall life hold and Enjoy for her own habitation my Cottage in Wodbourne (Wooburn) parish in Edward Savages possession She paying as Rent for the Same halfe yearly fifty Shillings per annum to my Son George or the owner thereof by Virtue of this my Will.

     Item: I give more to my Son George the sume of one hundred and thirteen pounds and four Shillings (which I direct to be in full payment and Satisfaction of all and every Legaties and Legacy given to him by any person whatsoever and which have or hath been received by me for his use) the which Legacie by me so given I will Shall be paid him when and Soe Soon as by law he is Capable to receive Sume and to give my Executor a Discharge for the Same yet I will and direct that my Executor Shall may and apply part of the Legacy in apprenticing out my Said Son George to Some good Trade that he likes and in finding him Cloaths and other Necessaries until he is Capable to receive and Dischgharge the Said Legacy but if my Said Son George Shall dye under age without leaving and lawfull Issue of his body then living then Soe much of the Legacy then soe much of the Said as Shall have beenn of applyed by my Executor as aforesaid I give the same to my said Daughters Sarah and Ann.

      Item: I give to my Said Son George all my household goods (Except what are my said Wifes) and I give him my horse and one Cow but if he dyes without lawfull Issue he be at age the Said household goods Should Soe equally to my said two Daughters or any lawfull Issue of them or either of them then living.

     Item: I give to my Said Wife the Sume of ten pounds lawfull Brittish money to be paid to her forthwith after my Decease to buy her household Goods and I give more to my Said Wife yearly and every year during her Widowhood the clear yearly Sume of ten pounds lawful British money to be paid to her quarterly by my Executor on the 24th of June the 29th of September the 21st of December and the 25th of March yearly and every year during her naturall life if She Soe long continue a Widow or during her Widowhood the first payment thereof to be made to her on Such of the Said quarter days next happening after my Death.

     Item: I give to my said Daughter Ann Tredway the Sume of Ninety pounds lawfull British money to be paid to her or her lawfull Issue if living within five months next after my Decease the which provision Soe made for my Said Wife and Daughter Ann and is by me intended to be in full Satisfaction and discharged of any further or other Sume of money that I my heirs Executors or Administrators are obliged to pay to them or either of them or to lay out in the purchase of any Lands Tenements or Hereditaments to be Settled on them or either of them or any of the Issue of my Said Wife by me begotten or to be begotten by Virtue or performance of any Indentures Articles or agreements whatsoever made by me with my said Wife or with any other person whatsoever entered out to our Intermarriage but if my Wife should have a son by me then I give the Said Son Ninety pounds to him to be paid in manner as before to my Said Daughter Ann and if my Said Wife should not have a Son by me but another Daughter then Such Daughter Shall have an equal Share of the Said Ninety pounds with my Said Daughter Ann and to be paid as and when She is to be paid the Same.

     Item: I give and Devise all the rest of m personal Estate my part of the Barge and Stork and Cackling? thereto and all my monies and Security for monies whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Son in law Thomas Grove and my Said Daughter Sarah his Wife they paying the Said annuity or yearly Sume to my Wife and all other my Legacies and debts.

     And I Revoke all former Wills and make of this my last will the Said Thomas Grove and Sarah is Wife the Joint Executors in Testimony whereof I have to this my last will and Testament put my hand and Seale the 28th of May 1722.
