In the name of God: Amen. The first and twentieth day of Januarie in the year of o^r Lord God One thousand Six hundred and three. And in the first year of the Reign of our Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of God king of England ffrance and Ireland defender of the faith or and of Scotland, the Seven and thirtieth. I Sir Walter Tredway Beckley Park in the Countie of Ox^d knight being of good health and perfit memory thanks be given to Almightie God for it doe make my last will and Testament in manner and forme following. ffirst: I will and bequeathe my soule to Almightie God my creator and to Jesus Christ my redeemer and to the holie ghost my comforter, and my bodie to be buried nohow? it shall please my Executors .
Item: I give and bequeathe to my two daughters Lettice and Elizabeth five hundred pounds a peece to be paid to them at their Severall marriages or at their Severall age and of eighteen years w^E (whatsoever?) of them shall first happen. And I will that Ladie Ann my beloved wife shall have the duration of my said two daughters until such time at their Severall legacy shalbe done. The said Ladie Ann my wife being allowed yearly by my Executors sufficient maintenance for their bringing up.
Item: I give to my said wife all my Fulle household stuff and plate whatsoever the same shalbe at the time of my decease provided always that if the said Ladie Ann my wellbeloved wife shall at any time after my decease refuse to make such further assurance to the said persons which Thomas Waller and Thomas Goddard or the Survivor of them shall name or appointe of all such Lands and tenements as to her descended after the death of George Gerrard her father lying in the Isle of Sheppye in the Countie of Kent discharged of all charges and encumbrances by her or her committed and done or to be by her means no^ch (no such?) lands and tenements the said Sir Walter dothe disavow and appointe shalbe Posted by the said Thomas Waller and Thomas Goddard or the Survivor of them for the greatest price they shall or may sell the Land by the privitie and agreement of Henrie Sevile Esquire and Richard Tredwaye Esquire and the monye thereof shall be delivered to my Executors to be Employed by them for the payment of my debts and the performance of this my last will and testament which lands and tenements more assured and conveyed unto them the said Thomas Waller and Thomas Goddard and to their heirs by the said Sir Walter and Ladie Ann my wife shalbe void and of the foresaid legacy given to the said Ladie Ann my wife shalbe voide and of none effect. Alsoe I doe hartilye pray and desire my good friend Thomas Goddard in which name I have purchased diverse lands and tenements in Beaconsfield in the Countie of Bucks that he and his heirs convey and assure the same unto such persons and to their hierse as my Executors or the Survivor of them shall shall appoint and the monye therof to be Employed about the paiment of my debts and performance of this my last will and testament and further I doe Confirm that the lands called S_____ & groundes in Beaconsfield aforesaid now purchased of Sir Richard Wenman in my name and in the name of the said Thomas Goddard and paid for by my father Richard Tredwaye. And therefore I will that after my decease the said land shalbe conveyed and assured by the said Thomas Goddard or by his heirs unto the said Richard Tredwaye and to his hiers, or such other persons and their heirs as the said Richard Tredwaye name or appoint After I do make Executors of this my last will and Testament my wellbeloved father in law Henrie Savile and my father Richard Tredwaye desiring them that they will see this my last will and testament performed In witness whereof I the said Sir Walter Tredwaye have to this my last will and Testament put my hand and Seale the daye and yeare first above written
