     IN dei nom[in]e ame[n]. The iij day of Septemb[e]r in the year of Our lord god 1546 I Walter Tredway of Agmondesh[a]m in the Count[y] Of Bucks ye[o]ma[n] beinge si[c]ke of body of [sic] but of p[er]fect remembrance Do make this my last will in forme followinge

ffirst I beq[uea]th My soul to o[ur] lord Jesus Christ & my body to be buried in the Church of Amersham

It[em] I will & bequeath to the hi[gh] altar of The same churche an alter clothe [pues?] 2 [l]bs

It[em] to the lighte Of [dny] alter in the same Church by sides the hi[gh]e alter [iij?]

It[em] I beq[uea]th to the same Church a [farhe?] of waxe It[em] to the mother Church of Lincoln viiijd.

It[em] I will that my executores shall [have] & [enjoie] All my copyhold landes & feifs in mylende in the [parish?] of Rickmansworthe in the Counti of Hatford nowe in the Ten[en]cy Of Thom[a]s Lamre to have to them after the [?] & of the [maner?] duringe the terme of xi yeres next after my deceasse upon suche condition that my sayd executores shall firmly consent & paye unto my Daughters [Anne] Joane Mary & Elizabe[th] iiij [?] markis & that is to say one of them xx [?] markis to be payd to them at the tyme of there mariages. And to Margery xx [lbs] to be payd unto her at the tyme of her mariage and yf it happen any of them to deceasse before there mariages that they my other Daughters Survivinge shall have suche portions betwyne them evenly to be debided as any of my sayd Daughters shoulde or oughte have to them mariages yf They had so longe lyved And I will that Immediately After the sayd portions be ded devided to & amonge My sayd Daughters in forme aforesayd Then I will

my sonne Rob[er]t shall have all my sayd copyhold lands & leases foresayd w[i]th all rentis & services thereinto due & accustomed To have & to hold to th hyme & to the heires of his body lawfully begotton And for la[c]k of suche Issue to remayne unto Richarde my sone and to the heyres of his body lawfully begotten and for la[c]ke of suche issue to mi remayne to my eight or heires for ev[er] accordinge to a [Cmrvendes?] to be defyined into the handis of Richard Voness? Of Rickmansworthe & Thom[a]s Chilles of the same Towne & Tenants of the same lordshipe to the use above name.

It[em] I will and beq[uea]th unto Richard my sonne one ten[amen]t in Colleshill nowe in the Tene[ancy] & occupancy of John Hill w[i]th all & sing[u]ler [thappurtanences] ther[e]to belonginge To have & to holde to hyme & to his heires for ev[er]

It[em] I will & beq[uea]th to Isabell my wiffe that farme that I nowe dwell in w[i]th the croppes & all man[n]er of [?] goods moveable & unmoveable & all my sto[c]ke for the space of xiij yeres the first yere to begyne at Michelmas next & Immediately after the sayd term of xiij yeres be expired I will my wiffe to leave the sayd farme w[i]th [thappurtanences] to Thom[a]s my sonne & the at her costs & charges to Sowe for my sayd sonne the first yeres tcC Croppes As well w[i]th wynter corne as lenten corne according To the quantitie of the grounde And I will that my Wiffe shall Deliver unto my sonne Thomas xx [lbs] Keyne & x bullocke x vij [cc] shepe xij horsses plowe & plowe [gere] [cowte] & [cowfgew?] xij hoggis of halfe

yeres olde & x [steies?] one fetherbed of the best ij paire of flaxen sheittes a coverbed & a blanket iij ij mattres ij blankette iiij paire of shettis & all the burying vessell ij chests of the best & one of [drny?] thinge of the best in the housse bysides w[i]th the hangings in thall hall & the [plor?] To have unto the sayd Thom[a]s & his assigns uppon condition followinge that is to saye that Thom[a]s my sayd sonne & his executores during the Hole terme of my sayd leasse Imediately after my sayd Sonne Richard comethe to his full age do suffer him the Sayd Richard & his assigns peaceably to possesse occupy & enjoie iij feildis called longe fields nowe In the Tena[ncy] & occupancy of John Ball & another Feilde called Whilte Hill nowe in the Tena[ncy] & occupancy Of John Rylinge & all suche groundis as is nowe In the Tena[ncy] & occupancy of Will[ia]m Tymblake During the hole terme of my sayd lease of [?y] Yeldinge & painge thefore yerly during all the sayd Terme unto my sayd sone Thom[a]s xs only& yf It happen any of the sayd rent of xs or any [pb] or [prell?] therof to be behyule unpayd a[s?] [many?] dayes of payme[n]t at the feast of Saint Michaell or thanunciation of o[ur] lady then it shall be lawfull for the sayd Thom[a]s & his assignes to [rensed?] as in his forever estatt[e] p[ro]vided allways & I will that yf my sayd sonne Thom[a]s & his assignes do not suffer my sayd sonne Richard & his assignes peaseably & quietly to enjoie & occupie all thes [?] & feildis herein specifeide that then I will my sayd

sonne Thom[a]s & his assignes w[i]th my executores to delyver or cause to be delyvered all suche stuff w[i]th corne & cattall as is before bequeathed unto my sonne Thom[a]s to Richard my sonne or his assigns or els [lbs] sterling pr[o]vided [?other] & I will that Richard my sonne shall make none assigns or gyve his terme that he hath in the aforesayd [closis/clauses?] & other landes but only to his wiffe or his children yf god end[ow]e hyme w[i]th any for my mynde & will is is [sic] that yf god take hyme awaye out of this world w[i]thout wiffe or issue that then my sayd sonne Thomas to enjoie the foresayd landis to my sonne Richard bequeathed any thinge in this will cotayined to the Co[n]trary not w[i]thstandinge.

It[em] I will unto Walter Benet my godsonne a cowe & a bullock.

It[em] unto my godchildren iiijd The Residue of all my goodis moveable and unmoveable John Linders sonne a bullock It[em] unto John Holle a [stone] Of shepe & of bullocke.

It[em] unto John Holle a [stone] Of shepe & of bullocke It[em] to John Hill a rowe It[em] to Walter Murney a bullock.

It[em] to every one Of my godchildren iiijd The residue of all my goods moveables & unmoveables not bequeathe my dettis or legacies payd I will & bequeathe unto Isabell my wiffe whome I make my executrix & Thom[a]s Duncombe my father in law executors and Thom[a]s Bland gent to be my overseer & they to have for theire paynes takinge 2 [lbs] ijs vjd.
