     Know ye that we have granted unto Lewis L. Treadaway Ninety three acres of land in Anson County adjoining the lands of A. Myers Gideon E. Winfrey and Sanford Hair on the waters of Grindston Creek.  Beginning at a post oak in Gideon E. Winfreys line and A. Myers corner and runs with Myers line North a half West eight chains to a stake by a pine then North eight and a half East eleven chains to a white oak on the bank of a branch of flat fork then North twenty four chains to a stake in said branch then North twenty four West four chains to a stake in said branch then North twenty five and a half East fourteen chains and fifty links to a stake in the edge of an old field a double black gum pointer, then North forty West five chains to flat fork Creek at the mouth of a branch, then down the various courses of said Creek twenty

twenty eight chains and fifty links to Myers corner in Winfreys line the South sixty four East ten chains and fifty links with Winfreys line to his corner pine then South seventeen East four chains and forty links to a stake, then South eight East thirteen chains to a stake by a dogwood and pine, then South nine West five chains and forty links to a pine one sweet gum pointers then South fourteen West seven chains and fifty links to a stake by a red oak and post oak pointer, then South two West sixteen chain(s) to a stake, then South eight East four chains and fifty links to a stake then South three West seven chains and fifty links to a stake then South seven West three chains to a stake the South fifteen West eleven chains and eighty links to a stake in Winfreys line then with his line North seventy nine West twelve chains and fifty links to the Beginning Entered the 12th day of January 1853.  To Hold to the said Lewis L. Treadaway his Heirs and assigns forever.  Dated the 5th day of March 1853.
